Joining HGPII

Any group purchasing organization, whether for profit or nonprofit, whether a stand-alone GPO or part of another organization, may join HGPII. Please note, as part of its membership, participating companies must adhere to the following:

• Pledge to follow the six core ethical and business principles of the organization;
• Report annually on how their organization met these core principals;
• Participate in the Annual Best Practices Forum; and,
• Contribute to HGPII’s common expenses.  Each organization will assessed dues annually on the basis of the volume of their sales, and other base factors.

HGPII membership is a prerequisite for active membership in the Healthcare Supply Chain Association (HSCA), the government relations arm of the healthcare group purchasing industry.

A general invitation for other GPOs to join was initially issued in late 2005, however, an interested GPO can contact the HGPII Coordinator at any time to inquire about membership.
